Into the Mayan Empire- Part 1

Mexico Episode 1

Coming from La Paz to Santa Cruz de la Sierra is pretty good. The slightly elevated town above sea level. There is no Altitude Sickness. The body is also quite good. Now I think I will go to the Yucatan province of Mexico, the land of the Mayans. I used to play Age of Empire when I was in university. In random civilization, I would take game leave whenever I fell in love with a multi-player. I felt like a very weak nation. There are no elephants, horses, guns, there are empty archers. I could not win the war with this weak army. Of course, many people liked Mayan e. However, at that time I read lightly about Maya civilization on the internet. The only thing I remember about the Mayans is 'The Mayan Disappeared'. How a nation became wind overnight from the bosom of the earth is still a great wonder. There is still a lot of study and research going on about this. Later I read a book on Mayan physics, mathematical arithmetic, architecture, astronomy. Then I thought to myself, if I get a chance, I will definitely go to the land of Maya.

I booked a ticket to Cancun, Mexico. Cancun next to the Caribbean Sea. This city is a world-famous spring break destination. Not to mention the details of spring break, many people know about spring break and those who do not know will have a hard time searching with Google. 😝

I got off at Cancun Airport and rushed to the immigration counter. My name is Flight in the middle of the night. It was about half-past twelve at night. I see at least one hundred and three people in immigration. You don't have to stand in line for long, Seal Martes is a poor immigration officer very quickly. When it was my turn, I went to the front and showed the American visa page and sealed it without a second word. I exchanged some dollars at the airport and took the peso.

I found two hostels with free WiFi at the airport. One in the downtown and another in the hotel zone. There is public transport to go along the address but according to taxi drivers, there is no public transport after midnight. I also got a little confused when I heard their message. Later, despite reluctance, I took a taxi to the hostel address. Normally I try to take public transport without taking a taxi. It was two o'clock in the morning to reach the front of the hostel.
At the reception counter, one sister is listening with headphones. I said that I am a walk-in guest, there is no booking but I want to stay. With a smile, she said that she and her management are very happy to select this property for me to stay but they have no room or bed empty here. I was a little surprised to hear. Normally any hostel property leaves some bunk beds empty for walk-in guests. But here it ends.
After walking for a while and taking a taxi, I finally reached Hostel Sinar Frogs. I had no idea before coming here that a hostel could be so tidy. I have been to many hostels in my life but this hostel is very different. I found the bed in the hostel empty. AC room, rent 10 dollars. It's three-thirty at night to check-in. I fell asleep without delay. I have to get up early in the morning and go to the Maya Pyramid.

I got up in the morning and had a free breakfast at the hostel to go around and explore my tour. The Maya tour is the most popular in Cancun. Many companies arrange tours. Tour Itinerary is pretty much the same for everyone. But with the tour fee, there is another business. Gula tour price whatever you want. From whom can take. I finally bought a tour for 40 dollars. The next day he will pick up at seven in the morning and drop off in front of the hostel at nine at night. They all eat and drink in the middle. I thought it was a good deal. The person from whose shop I bought the tour is named Alejandro. The boy started his tour business with a college pass. Very friendly. In a word or two, I had a conversation with Alejandro. I told him I would hang out with you if there was no work after your shop closed. Alejandro agrees without thinking. I arrived at Alejandro's shop in the afternoon. His shop is 1 km away from my hostel. I went out with Alejandro. Buses and microbuses are public transport in Cancun.
Cancun City

Walking down the street in downtown, talking to Alejandro for seven or five minutes. Suddenly his mobile phone rang. The gist of what he told me after talking for a while was that Alejandro's uncle died yesterday and today is his last farewell party, he has to go there for a while, if I want to go I can wait for him in the shopping mall next door I decided to go to see the last farewell ceremony. I got on the bus again and went to Alejandro's uncle's house. Since I am going to the house of a dead person, I thought I would fall into a sad cry. But my mind is thundering, this is like a marriage house. The great joy of the festival continues. Great arrangement of music, food, and drink. I asked Alejandro if I was going to the wrong place. He could understand the reason for my confusion. He told me to enjoy the farewell ceremony as he would explain everything later. Not realizing anything, I sat quietly in a corner of this dead man's house and looked at the man's doing. Mariachi's melody did not seem to have any grief for the dead. At one point Alejandro came back and we headed back to Plaza Americana Shopping Mall. This place is bustling all night. This time Alejandro told the real story. She and her family are not saddened by the death of her uncle because she went to God in heaven after her uncle died. So much joy in their minds.
Death Celebration in Cancun City

Since Mama went to God in heaven, they celebrated the matter with all the relatives and neighbors. What a strange life philosophy. But I don't think they have any grief of losing their relatives. I think this is just a misguided attempt to cover up the sadness with a kind of happy act.

The next morning I got up and started my journey towards the
Mayan Empire. To see Chichen Itza. About 250 kilometers from Cancun. You have to go by bus all the way. At the beginning of the journey, our guide gentleman gave a brief description of the Maya city Chichen Itza. Our guide gave us a ticket to enter the bus. As soon as I got down at the gate of El Castillo, I showed my ticket and entered the Chichen Itza. I ate like a push as soon as I entered. Pyramid Zeno wants to cover the sky in a huge desert! I immediately remembered Chakmul's words. This Chakmul is the rain god of Maya. There is a half-lying position on the pyramid in a strange position.
